Here’s a reason why Anna and I thank the dear Lord everyday that YouTube did not exist when we were growing up. We were graciously spared the hurricane of embarrassment that would have ensued. Had YouTube existed, the unfortunate decisions that we thought were good ideas at the time would have gone a little something like this:
“Hey, lets make up a dance to the Backstreet Boys song Everybody….and put it on YouTube.”
“Hey, lets hide in your upstairs window, spy on the hot neighbor across the street, videotape him mowing the lawn with his shirt off….and put it on YouTube.”
“Lets make a music video of Shania Twain’s Man I Feel Like a Woman….and put it on YouTube.”
Ah geez. Anyway, props to this kid below, he’s a YouTube sensation and just keeps churning out the vids. Head on over there and check out the goods. Enjoy

Well, Willie took the plunge today…literally. The first time was by accident, but the second not so much. What am I talking about? While I was taking my shower this morning, I just happened to turn around, look down and find that my sweet little pup had decided to join me. He was just standing there, hanging out, letting the water hit his face and having a grand old time getting soaked. After recovering from my fit of laughter, I scooped him up, gave him a big wet kiss on the head and sent him on his way to shake it off and get the entire apartment soaked.
But then I got to thinking. I wonder what Willie would do if he found himself in a pool? Would he swim? Would he freak? Hmmmm. Well, after recounting Willie’s escapades to Jeffrey over dinner, we decided it would be a great idea to see what our little Williekins would do in deep-ish water. So we did what any normal couple would do….we filled up the bathtub as high as it would go and set Willie loose. Hilarity ensued. **Disclaimer, we are not bad parents. Willie was happy as a clam; only a tad bit terrified at first. He’s totally fine and currently taking a snooze in my lap, ENJOY *

Today was just one of those days. I haven’t had a cupcake in, well, forever. And for those of you who know me, you know that that is kind of an abomination. I’m a girl who loves her food, probably a bit too much. And my love borderlines on restraining order obsession status when it comes to cupcakes. Due to my current “occupation,” cupcakes are not really allowed on my normal diet. But today, I caved. I came home from work, opened up the pantry and made the decision. Homemade cookies and cream cupcakes it was!! And ooooh was it good.
The unfortunate thing is I have rehearsal tonight, and now there are 23 cupcakes sitting in my kitchen mocking me. Perhaps I should have scaled down the recipe? Oh well, that’s what human garbage disposal husbands are for right? I somehow have to stay out of the kitchen and away from the remaining cupcakes for the next week. This should be quite the challenge. But I guess if I caved and ate another cupcake tomorrow, but then ran two miles afterwards, I could call it even? Or get sick trying?
Ugh, I hate counting calories. But this video makes me smile
My friend Michele is very talented. She was a Broadcast Communications major while we were at Elon and she was always the person I would go to with questions when I couldn’t figure out a video editing project and on the verge of tears. Oh the late nights in the Mac Lab….I don’t miss that. Anywho, so my mucho talented friend has unleashed her inner Steven Speilberg and has entered a really cool contest. She had to direct, produce and edit the following video set to a pre-determined soundtrack (she takes no credit for the song, and I think she’s completely OK with that. You’ll understand after you watch the video, haha). There’s lots of different video entries that people have entered into the contest, but of course Michele’s is the best. The winning video will be decided by a panel of judges, but here’s how you can help….
There’s a separate competition where the video that gets the most clicks/views on YouTube wins. So, ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on Michele’s masterpiece. Click on it and watch it as many times as you can! Don’t click on anyone else’s video because they’re the enemy. Lets bring home a win for Michele!
I should also add that Michele will be starting her own video production company in just a few short weeks! I’ll keep you updated on al of her successes

How about 15 minutes of embarrassment? I was searching around YouTube for Baskin Robbin’s newest edition of their Ice Cream and Cake commercial, and this is what I came across. Ooooh, the poor, unfortunate decisions one makes in middle school. I watched this and at the end I didn’t know whether to laugh hysterically or cry in embarrassment for them. I will give them props though, these girls are very dedicated to their ice cream and cake choreography. The sunglasses are a nice touch and I particularly enjoy the “Rollin’ with my homies” move they throw in there mixed in with some Texas style line dancing. Straight gangster.
