Look out BHLDN, David’s Bridal is now carrying Vera Wang dresses in their new “White” collection. Dresses run from about $700-$1400 and they’re really quite gorgeous. This is exactly what David’s Bridal has been needing. No offense to DB brides, but they’ve been needing a fresh new look for a while now. Just some new styles to mix it up. I love how designers are working more and more with affordable brands – like Christian Siriano for Payless Shoes, Target’s “Go International” with Zac Posen and Anna Sui, H&M and Jimmy Choo etc. Thanks for bringing high fashion to the people guys!

Here are a few Vera Wang dresses from David’s Bridal. Check them all out here.

Whether you call it white, off-white, cream, ivory, stone, natural, snowflake, eggshell, or Cullen-Complexion, here are 38ish reasons to keep wearing it even after Labor Day.* Because who still follows that rule anymore anyway?

* Items not to be worn together all at once. Because that would be weird.

Sorry, I’m lazy. All of these things came from either Anthropologie, Asos or Modcloth.

Anna 2.0

As I was picking the dog toys up and spraying the kitchen with Lysol to get rid of that dead animal odor from the trashcan, I thought of the person that I wished I was. This person, let’s call her “Anna 2.0,” would be incredibly put together – like someone in a Nancy Meyers movie. Her apartment cottage would be straight off the set of Something’s Gotta Give with everything being beautiful and fresh.

She’d wear white all the time.

In fact, everything would be white.

In her gorgeous white living room, beside the desk with the antique typewriter, Anna 2.0′s coffee table would be uncluttered and would display the chicest of coffee table books like:

or

or

And in her bathroom, instead of lighting a match to mask the stench left by Husband 1.0, Anna 2.0 would get up early every Saturday morning to go to the farmer’s market and collect fresh flowers to place all over the house so that everything smells of lavender and freesia, and not wet dog.

She’d brush her teeth with this toothpaste:

and wash with this soap:

and moisturize with this lotion:

All the while, looking like this:

She’d make up the bed every day. Hell this is a fantasy, her maid would make up the bed every day. One of those beds with 45 accent pillows, but every one is placed just so.

And even if the bed didn’t get made, it’d look something like this:

But sadly I am not Anna 2.0, I am Anna 1.0 – the girl who lives in a small apartment with a hodgepodge of furniture, drowning in doggy toys and bathing with the jumbo size Costco shampoo. Sigh, a girl can dream…

How wonderful would it be if your Christmas actually looked like some of these amazing pictures? I’ve always wanted to wake up to snow on Christmas morning, but living in North Carolina never really helped with that. I recently told Jeff that one year, I want to spend Christmas in the mountains in a little cabin and I want to go and chop down our very own Christmas tree. He laughed at me. According to the Weather Channel, it’s supposed to be 44 degrees and pouring in good ole’ NC on December 25th. Awesome. A girl can still hope though! Enjoy these magnificent pictures I stumbled across that just give me that warm tingly feeling all over about Christmas!
