It was bound to happen at some point. We’ve been in this “relationship” for over 2 years now. We are having our first disagreement. You love Houston, and well, I hate it. You couldn’t pay me to live here Rob. Okay. OKAY. If it’s with you, in a mansion in Piney Point, I could maybe be swayed. But only for you. So far, I’ve been honked at 3 times, given one dirty look and had my camera stolen. Where is the southern hospitality people!? The traffic is horrendous. To get anywhere is a 30 minute+ drive that is full of rage. I’d describe this city as one giant office park surrounded by a mess of tangled freeways. It’s like LA’s ugly stepsister, but with no mountains or beaches. You’ve got tons of freeways, traffic and smog mixed in with a few flashy houses, cars and people – but Houston’s version of flashy is which truck is the biggest and most blinged out. On 3 separate occasions I’ve seen these trucks with rims on their wheels that look like huge spikes that stick out towards your car like they could stab you if you got too close. Every time we’d get on the highway to go anywhere we’d say “time to go to battle.”
The nail in the coffin though was on our last night when we got into this cab:
Tomorrow night is the battle of the doggies. The UConn Huskies VS the Butler Bulldogs in the NCAA men’s basketball tourney. It’s a close match-up. Hard to say which puppies are cuter. What do you think?
Happy Final Four Weekend! If you’re like me, you probably burned your bracket weeks ago, but I’ll still tune into the games anyway. Personally, I’m pulling for Butler. I love a good comeback kid story. And it doesn’t hurt that they have one of the cutest mascots around! Watch this around the 50 second mark!

Since it’s March Madness I thought I’d take time out during photo fav Fridays to showcase the ENORMOUS heads fans like to hold up during games. I love these things, especially when they’re random celebrities. Here are a few of my fav’s in action:
So the World Cup is going on in case you hadn’t noticed. We don’t exactly follow soccer, nor do we find games that end in a score of 0-0 exhilarating, but we do like hot athletic menfolk. And we do like watching them while throwing back a few beers amongst other menfolk, and womenfolk. Okay enough with the folk. I mean what the folk? Sorry.
Anyway! What I was trying to say was, no we don’t really watch soccer but the World Cup can be a fun excuse to get together and have some fun, and for you single ladies to meet some dudes. And don’t worry if you happen to be clueless about soccer, if know college basketball you may find this article really helpful. A friend of my husband’s wrote it and it compares college basketball to World Cup. It’s pretty clever and helpful and a great way to impress that hottie manfolk over in the corner
