I can’t resist posting more JT in costume. Plus Lady Gaga too. LOVE. This is close to rivaling my favorite costumed JT “ville” skits – Homelessville.

So the Red Riding Hood soundtrack came out today and I was super excited to finally get to listen to the whole Fever Ray song “Wolf” that plays at the end of the trailer. I’d actually never heard of them/her? before until now. Evidently she only performs in the dark, hence the photo above, and her fashion choices give Lady GaGa a run for her money.
I’m intrigued. Listen to the soundtrack below- it’s cool and spooky.

So Lady Gaga came out with her new song today, “Born this Way.” People have been ripping it a new one for being a rip-off of Madonnas’s “Express Yourself.” Not only that, but they’ve said the album cover is a copy of Kylie Minogue’s and that the lyrics sound like Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful.”
I’ve listened to, looked at, and read it all and yes, I see some similarities, but no I don’t think they’re blatant rip-offs. As a person who works in a creative industry, there will always be overlaps and similarities. It happens. You can’t just block out everything you see and hear. It’s bound to affect you and your work a little. What do you guys think? Copy Cat? or Gaga Original?
And btw, as far as the song goes, I like the lyrics, I think they are very positive, but the song is a little disappointing frankly. You’ve done better Gaga. You’ve done better.
Listen to “Express Yourself” here.
Cover Art:
You could say they both are reminiscent of David’s Bowie’s Aladdin Sane.

Yes!! Hillywood’s version of Eclipse is out! Love them. They just keep getting better and better! I can’t believe how close their shots are to the movie. And their Jacob looks just like Taylor Lautner, possibly hotter. Rar.
If you want to see the other 2 they did for New Moon and Twilight, check ‘em out here.
Cher says, “Don’t forget to turn back your clocks tonight!”
I hate when daylight savings time ends, but at least we get an extra hour in our weekend.

So last year at this time, I was unemployed and planning a very elaborate Halloween party at our apartment. This year, I am employed and have given absolutely ZERO thought about Halloween, and it’s next weekend! Last year I was crafting my Lady GaGa ensemble as well as my husband’s Stewy costume. This year, nada. No costume, no ideas. Last year I was dressing up Jack and parading him around the pumpkin festival in his devil dog costume, this year I slapped on some spider legs to his back and paraded him around the apartment. SO yeah, you get the idea. This year, Halloween FAIL.
BUT! fear not. I thought I could at least share some of my Halloween ideas from last year, in case anyone else has their act together. Posts to come…

Hot on the heels of our Doggie GaGa post, I couldn’t resist posting this: Baby GaGa!
And don’t fear! Those of you with baby boys can do: Baby Jackson!
Yeah, that baby fro isn’t disturbing at all.

I’m thinking maybe Jack or Willie could go as Doggie GaGa this year? What think?

As a follow up to our last Glee post, we thought we’d post some of our favorite Glee videos. My favs, other than last night’s Brittany performance of course, are “Vogue” and “Bad Romance.” I asked Karen what her fav’s were and here was her response (via email):
OMG, I have so many fave videos from Glee! That show is kind of my thing. Just to name a few:
Most recent Britney….Britney S. Pears is now my fave character, such a bad ass dancer!!!
Old School Madonna
Bad Romance– probably one of my all time faves
Paul McCartney Imagine (the episode with the deaf school singers, cried my eyes out!)
Safety Dance- episode when artie daydreams about being able to dance
Keep Me Hanging On- Quinn’s solo, my jam at work
And of course Don’t Stop Believing- classic
Love, love, love this show. It’s such an important show to have on TV right now. It combines arts activism, diversity acceptance, fantastic talent and comedy all in one.
I cry every episode!
So needless to say, we are both fans. One of us unhealthily a little more than the other.
Here are our top 3:
Well unlike Karen, I actually did watch the VMAs tonight because I can’t get enough of GaGa’s outfits. And she def did not disappoint this year – with the finale being a raw meat dress.

I’ve already found my GaGa costume for Halloween this year:
My second favorite outfit of the evening was Will.I.Am’s – who got off work early from his part time job as a street performer:
Big Bieber and Little Bieber were there too:
Okay Usher, you created him. Now make him go away!
One of the performing artists who lost to Bieber for “Best New Artist” was Florence and the Machine. I think they’re my new fav artist now. Check out their song Dog Days Are Over here. I know what I’ll be listening to at work tomorrow!
