So last year at this time, I was unemployed and planning a very elaborate Halloween party at our apartment. This year, I am employed and have given absolutely ZERO thought about Halloween, and it’s next weekend! Last year I was crafting my Lady GaGa ensemble as well as my husband’s Stewy costume. This year, nada. No costume, no ideas. Last year I was dressing up Jack and parading him around the pumpkin festival in his devil dog costume, this year I slapped on some spider legs to his back and paraded him around the apartment. SO yeah, you get the idea. This year, Halloween FAIL.
BUT! fear not. I thought I could at least share some of my Halloween ideas from last year, in case anyone else has their act together. Posts to come…

So Randy and I started looking around for costume ideas for Jack this Halloween. Here are a few we showed him.

And to think that I couldn’t love OK Go anymore, they make this new music video “White Knuckles” using tons of trained doggies and what looks to be Ikea furniture. Not only that, they did this video in one take – which means no directors yelling “Cut! Do it again.” ONE take. Smart doggies they’ve got there. Their video got 1 million hits on YouTube in a day. While shopping for a friend’s baby shower gift, we wandered into this ridiculously cute store called Sprout. They have all these organically safe toys and clothes there that are super expensive, but super cute. I could do some SERIOUS damage in there if I had a lil sprout of my own – I mean look at how fashionable this baby slingy thing is:
However even I know paying $129 for this sucker (yes that’s what it cost) is completely not worth it. We ended up finding an affordable little shirt and bath puppet for the baby, but not before we found our little baby bear his own toy. Jack discovered some of the plush baby toys they had in the store and went NUTS over this little bear. Little organic bear guy was not exactly cheap – $15, but we couldn’t say no to that little happy face. So out of the store we all left, little bear in big bear’s mouth and very happy. God help us when we have a human baby. We will go broke for sure.
Yes, another doggy post. Sorry people, we both have spoiled dog-babies.
I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since my last Jack birthday post. We stuck with the same theme as last year and ordered him his own In N Out cheeseburger. Got him some chewy treats, and grandpa bought him a stuffed doggy toy. We also sprang for a new doggy raincoat that he’ll model later during the rainy season.
