So I’m not sure how much we’ll be blogging over Christmas break. So until then, I’m just going to bombard you with Christmas cheer – starting with this post. Oh, and this computer snow that’s falling over your screen right now.
I found these photos of ridiculously adorably festive Christmas bungalows if you will. In my holiday fantasy, this is where I would wake up Christmas morning. Siiigh.
And this is what my fake children would leave Santa the night before. It’d look just like this:
So last year I designed this holiday card for a dental client and it went so well I made two more cards this year. The first one is for an endodontist, which is essentially a dentist who does root canals. He wanted something that wasn’t so “serious as a root canal” and fun for the holidays. Here’s what I came up with:
And here’s the flossin’ holiday card for my dentist client:
If any of you know someone that may be interested in design services – they don’t have to be dentists! – please contact me at JacksMaster.com.

So I love this wrapping idea. But it requires tracing letters and then using an EXACTO knife to painstakingly cut out each letter in everyone’s name. What kind of person has time for this? And during the holidays no less?? But if you are this kind of nutjob person, here are the instructions. Please send us a photo of your finished product if you ever do in fact finish it.
And my other favorite wrapping idea is this menagerie of colorful yarn.
I just wanted to use the word menagerie. I even spelled it right on the first try. Anyway, again, lovely, but who has time for this? Let alone this many yarn color options? Oh, I know who does. The Yarn Bomber!

After every party this couple throws, they Photoshop in celebrities’ faces into their party pics. I wish I’d thought of this! My favorites are the subtle ones where you’re like “Aww there’s Susan, and haha there’s Jeff sipping his pink cocktai… whoa! is that Rob Pattinson?!?”
“Honey why didn’t you tell me Alexander Skarsgaard was at your holiday party?! You know how much I love True Blood!”

So since it’s Cyber Monday evening and I had a little down time at work, teehee, I put together some holiday party ensembles from ModCloth. Not only is it important to have a rockin’ holiday dress, but you can’t forget the fabulous coat that will complete the look! I have a severe weakness for outerwear. If I had money to waste, I’d own about 12 winter coats. And I live in San Francisco where the coldest it gets is about 40–maybe. My other weakness is cute shoes. Especially ones with fun details. They can always spice up a boring dress.
So without further ado, here are some “themes” I put together for your viewing (and shopping) pleasure.

Ahh, if only my Thanksgiving table could really look like this. Sadly, however, that dream will not be coming true this year, but I am one step closer to it! Yes, this year, dear readers, I am hosting my first Thanksgiving in my closet sized apartment. Mom, dad, Anna, Randy and little Jack Jack will be coming to town to celebrate Turkey Day with me and Jeff! We couldn’t be any more excited, (speaking of which, Anna have y’all booked your flight yet?) Alas, the sleeping arrangements are going to be a little less than desirable, ie: Mom and Dad in the bedroom and Me, Jeff, Anna and Randy on air mattresses in the nook that we like to call our “living room.” And don’t forget Jacky Bear, he’ll be snuggled in there with us too!
I know what you’re thinking, are you nuts? Yes, it will be a little tight in there, but I just didn’t have the heart to tell the parents or Anna and Randy to spend $1500 staying in a hotel for Thanksgiving, boo. Sooo, Seven’s Company here we come! But, back to the topic at hand: Thanksgiving dinner! I am taking it upon myself this year to do all of the grocery shopping and a lot of the cooking, big dreams right? Actually, I’m really up for the challenge and looking forward to it. I’m going to be introducing some of the recipes I’m planning over the next few days. First up, we have homemade Mac and Cheese! Mmmmmm, behold!

Of course mine will have some minor adjustments. Most importantly, there’s no way I can afford lobster. So, we’ll just scratch that off the list of ingredients, haha. But I’ve actually made this dish before and it turned out DELICIOUS!! It was a huge hit with the hubby, so it will definitely be making an appearance on our Thanksgiving table.

My masterpiece!
Looks almost as yummy as the other one right? Humor me here!
