So I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’ve been slacking on the blog a lot lately. I’ve been really busy (and still am) designing things for Jack’s Master and trying to really make a go of starting this business. I thought I’d share some more of what I’ve been working on for Mother’s Day since it’s right around the corner. The first card is based on the human truth that moms always seem to have a bottomless pit of things in their purse. It acts as everything from a post office to a vending machine to a trashcan. The next set of cards is for the dog parents. If “Mommy’s Boy or Girl” was to give you a card, what would it look like? Hopefully like one of these cards! Check them out. They’re all available on our Etsy site too.

There are a looooot of creepy Twilight cards out there on Etsy. But I came across some that actually are pretty clever. Check them out.

And this “Team Jacob” one just made me laugh out loud:

The tradition is if you don’t wear green on St. Patrick’s Day you get pinched. It can be by anyone, or anything. However, I think that tradition usually stops after elementary school, unless you’re inebriated.
I thought it would be cute to have little business-sized cards with matching lil envelopes to slip into people’s pockets or on their desks or wherever to give them a paper pinch if they’re not wearing green. Or even if they are, to wish them a Happy St. Patty’s Day!

I know I know. I’m using the blog to shamelessly promote my design business. The thing is, I’m recently unemployed and trying to make a go of doing Jack’s Master full time. I’m only 2 weeks in and did a line of Valentine’s cards to start. Of course you all know I have a ton of experience with weddings and baby shower, but I’m planning on expanding even more – and taking over the WOORRRLLLLLLD. Kidding.
This is where you come in though. Spread the word. Like me on Facebook. Tweet me. Whatever. Just let your friends know about us! And while you’re at it, buy a Valentine
Here’s a sample of our Etsy shop.
For your Pookie Bear {pookus amourus} – hehe.
And for your real life Edward:
There are even cards for the dog to give!

One of my favorite greeting card brands is Squibnocket Cards. They’re really hard to find – even the internet barely has any images of them! They consist of no images, just type and they’re written by an ex-copywriter in advertising. I believe he worked here in San Francisco actually. Anyway, the cards are for every occasion and are hilariously random. Here are a few I managed to hunt down online:

Every time I see Anna Bond’s work from Rifle Design, it makes me wish I painted more often than I do. I wish I could just quit my job and do Jack’s Master full time! Someday

That’s right. Awkward Family Photos: The Holiday Edition. I spent my day trying to figure out the best and most economical way to do our Christmas cards this year when it dawned on me. You know those cards that most people do for the holidays? The manufactured, mass produced ones with a picture of the family and a catchy politically correct holiday greeting that won’t offend any of their non Christmas celebrating friends? No, I’m not bustin’ on them, I’m probably going to be that person who does that this year because, to be honest with you, I’m still recovering from all of the wedding thank you cards. But anyway, back to the topic at hand. I started thinking about these Christmas cards and I just had to wander on over to Awkward Family Photos and check out the cornucopia of awkwardness that the holidays always bring out. ENJOY

It's all fun and games until little Tammy gets busted up by a falling glass ornament. Not such a good idea anymore, huh?

Awww, even Pugsley from the Addam's Family celebrates Christmas. Special.

An Upper East Side Christmas with husband William James Pennington Jr., wife Muffy, son William James Pennington III, and dog Baxter. Barf.

Wrong, wrong, wrong on so many levels. Even the dog knows it!

Pedafile Santa is about to scare the crap out of this little girl. Where's Chris Hansen when you need him?

He sees you when you're sleeping. Funny, there's a picture similar to this of me after my bachelorette party.

Looks like Santa's letting himself go.
