I stayed in last night while the hubby was out and watched girly shows. I saw that Say Yes to the Dress is now in Atlanta. It’s kind of awesome because you get this extra drama now with bitchy controlling southern mommas and prima donna southern belles.

I also watched the second season of Four Weddings where 4 ladies go to each others’ weddings and judge them. The winner gets a free honeymoon. To me, this is a nightmare. Girls are judgmental enough without being handed score cards. I mean they’re not actually flashing cards during the event, but they are taking strong mental notes.

Watching 3 episodes in a row last night (exciting Friday night I know) has shown me that you can’t please everyone. You should just have a wedding that you (and your husband) love. I mean even among only 4 women, what one thought was gorgeous, another thought was tacky. Some women love to bedazzle everything, others are monogram obsessed, some love color and some wear black wedding dresses. Basically no one is ever going to have your eyes and brain and see your wedding like you do. So here’s my advice to you potential brides out there: don’t worry about what you think you’re supposed to do for a wedding, do what you like! Even if your ring bearer is R2D2 and your groomsmen are Storm Troopers.

Or your wedding dress is made of cream puffs.

Or you prefer making your wedding guests carry your mile long veil through the town.

Even if you recite your wedding vows to each other while repelling down the side of a building – a bit dangerous, but hey it’s your thang.

Do what you love!

These dresses from InStyle Weddings make me want to go back in time and get married in the 60s. I can’t decide which one is my favorite. I love them all!

Shark Pig!

What is Shark Pig you ask? It’s a fantastic videographer dude that makes the coolest wedding videos ever. The ones below are all from one wedding. It’s 2 sneak peeks and the final movie. He shoots with a super 8 camera to give it that old-timey feel. I love it!! Someone please get married and use him then show me your video so I can post it!

I’m obsessed with this wedding! Not only are their photos ridiculously cute, but they made the most awesome little stop motion video too! I wish I’d done this for my wedding!

Since I posted wedding dresses for the Flickr Favs of the day, I may as well continue with the nuptial theme. My wedding photographer just sent me a link to her new blog showcasing all the new work she’s done. Her name is Linda Chaja and you can check out her new blog here. She did a fantastic job at our wedding and I would totally recommend her to anyone in California. She travels too, so  if you’re not in Cali, fear not!

Here are a few recent shots she’s taken.

She does baby portraits too! Look at the cute:

So I’m riding in a taxi down Madison avenue the other day, drooling at all of the pretty stores and what to my wondering eyes does appear? THE J. CREW WEDDING BOUTIQUE! We drove by so quickly I couldn’t sufficiently stare at it, but even in my short little glimpse I found it breathtakingly beautiful and I could feel it calling to me…..even though I’m already married, but whatevs. Man if this place had existed while I was wedding planning, things could have gotten bad and seriously expensive. The boutique officially opened last week and is a huge hit in the city. Check out some of the pictures below from opening night. Special credit and thanks to the Sacramento Street Blog for the pretty pictures :)

The pretty storefront :)

Yummy :)

Imagine rocking these babies at your wedding?

I have a very unhealthy obsession with J. Crew jewelry! These pieces are beautiful!

Pretty Bride :)

And pretty Bridesmaids :)

Fancy Shmansy!

And at the end of the evening, J. Crew had pedicabs to take their guests home for free! So cute!

I will definitely be making a visit very soon!!!

Today is my sweet, sweet hubby’s  23rd birthday. And thank goodness for that! I was tired of being 24 years old and being married to a 22 year old, ew. Cougar status to the max, yo. Imagine being 21 years old and dating a 19 year old. Awkward. Anywho, Jeff and I have seen many a birthday come and go together, but this year was our first time to share our birthdays together being married. Awww. And this year, I’m proud to say, I’m now married to the hottest 12 year old on the block :)

Happy Birthday Jeff! Thank you for….

Always laughing with me, and not at me.

Always knowing how to make me smile.

Always sweeping me off my feet.

And always being willing to dance. I love you :)
