Guess who’s back :)

So Randy left to go home for the holidays last night. Unfortunately I still have work and can’t leave until Wednesday. However, that means girls night the next 3 nights! Cheese for dinner, a bottle of wine to myself, painting my nails and best of all, endless girly reality TV shows. My latest obsession: “My Fair Wedding” with David Tutera. It’s on the WE network. I watched 3 episodes in a row last night. It was glorious.

If you haven’t seen it, and you like makeovers and weddings, you will love this show. He basically comes in and takes over your wedding – venue, dress, cake, everything. The brides on this show have some of the most atrocious dresses and themes too – like last night’s “Romantic Swamp.” David comes in and takes your bizzaro idea and makes it amazing – so “Romantic Swamp” becomes “Enchanted Forest.”

OK, I’m off to eat a block of cheese.

I think next year we’re going to get the fam together and make a Christmas portrait like the Kardashian’s. All funereal and sexy.

“No smiling! We agreed, no teeth! Just cleavage!”

Where’s Cousin IT?

Roughin’ It.

So I haven’t seen it yet on TLC, but I have seen several clips of Kate Gosselin freaking out about camping with Sarah Palin. And as much as I loathe both of these women, I have to side with Kate on this one. Camping in the freezing cold, wet wilderness of Alaska is not high on my bucket list. My idea of “roughin it” is staying at a questionable Motel 6. I think comedian Jim Gaffigan says it best though:

Top 5 reasons why the Rocky Horror Glee Show was A-W-E-S-O-M-E!

5. “Give me the chocolate or I’ll cut you.”

4. Uncle Jessie singing and dancing. Enough said.

3. Sam as Rocky. I heart gold spandex.

2. The performance of “Time Warp” was WAY better on my HD TV!

1. Will Shuester with his shirt off. Holy abs, batman!

And way to go Glee for once again stressing the importance of the arts in schools. Yes, perhaps performing the Rocky Horror Picture Show in a public school is not exactly the most PC thing to do. But, in the end, it’s always for the sake of the students’ artistic expression and a chance for them to continue to explore and push their talent. What were your thoughts?? Favorite parts? Songs? I loved all of the awesome cameos throughout the show too! They should have brought in Susan Sarandon!

Just a friendly reminder to set those DVRs or tune in at 8:00pm on FOX to watch the Glee kids do the Time Warp! I have seriously already started jumping up and down in my seat at work in anticipation of this episode. Gah! It’s going to be great! I’m definitely going to have to do a post afterwards about my reactions to the show. I originally wanted to do a live blog during the show, but then I remembered:

1. I have a meeting tonight at 7:00 on the Upper West Side, so I’m going to have to DVR the show to begin with…le sigh.

2. I get angry if Jeff so much as speaks and distracts my attention during the show….how could I do a live blog and manage to type and watch the show at the same time?

So, after the show it is! But no worries, I’ll schedule it to post at midnight East Coast time so that I don’t spoil the show for our lovely west coast readers :)

Let me know what you think of the episode as well. We love to get your feedback, (and personally I’d love to find someone who’s just as obsessed with this show as I am so I can feel a little less weird!)
