I debated doing a sort of live-blogging situation with the Oscars last night, but I got so caught up in the whole moment that the idea quickly went out the window. Anywho, now that I’ve recovered from staying up late and watching the entire show, (these things never end on time), I’m here to give my rundown of the night.

The Red Carpet

I love, love, love watching the red carpet and drooling over the amazing dresses, fantastic jewelry and to die for shoes. One thing I don’t like about the red carpet……the annoying hosts, and last night was no exception. Two words: Kathy Ireland.

What was she on???? Did anyone else see her interviewing celebs on the red carpet? Even Jeff, (who may or may not have been forced to watch the Oscars), commented on how robotic and/or totally high she looked. So bizarre and some insanely uncomfortable! Aside from the crazy lady, I thought there were some huge fashion hits and flops on the red carpet this year. Here are my top 3 favs and top 3 hates.

The Fashion Do’s

I might be jumping on the Sandra Bullock bandwagon, but who cares. She looked beautiful and worked that red lipstick.

Gotta agree with my sister on this one. I love me some Rachel McAdams, and when she walked on the stage in this dress my mouth dropped.

The color might be a bit bland, but who cares? She’s worn this color before and she can totally rock it out. If I can look like her when I’m her age, I’d be fit as a fiddle.

The Fashion Don’t You Ever Do That Again’s

Greetings Earthlings. I Come in Peace. I mean, the dress is ok, I guess, but it’s more the fact that her hair is styled larger than her head and she’s so overly bronzed. Her eye makeup also doesn’t do wonders.

No, just no. J-Lo, I love you, but no. It’s baby pink first of all. But you also look like you got trapped in the packing material Barbie used to move out of the Malibu Barbie Beach House. And you could barely move in it. And what’s this? An imposter….

While this style is a little less Barbie, and more kid-sister Skipper, it still just sucks in my eyes.

What did you guys think? If you could walk the famous red carpet, what would you wear? I’m off to go for a run on this absolutely gorgeous, sunny, 58 degree day in NYC!! I’ll be back later to give more insight on last night. I know you’re waiting on the edge of your seat, haha.

Rachel McAdams was def my favorite dress of the night. What do you think?

Cameron Diaz looked classically beautiful in her gown – it’s just that I’m a little bored with classic I think.

KStew rocked it in her midnight blue dress.

And I know she got voted worst dressed, but I sort of like Diane Krueger’s Chanel gown. I’d probably lose one of the black bands, but I give her an A for creativity! Plus I’m a sucker for anything black and cream.

I mean look at the back!

Love this photo of Robert Downey Jr. And love his blue shades and bow tie!

I’ve never been a fan of the TV show The View. It was all the rage when it debuted in 1997, and in my opinion it has kind of taken a nose dive since then. But what do I know? I guess it’s because I don’t particularly like any of the hosts and find them just a tad annoying when they constantly yell over one another. BUT, today was a different kind of day. Ladies, there is only one thing in the entire world that would make it OK to let The View take up precious space on my DVR recoding list. Yes, you guessed it:

Duh.

Robert Pattinson and Emily de Ravin graced the set of The View today and offered a great interview. Or should I say Robert offered a great interview. Now don’t get me wrong, I could listen to that sexy minx talk all day, but poor Emily de Ravin, (looking gorgeous as always), simply sat alongside him like a puppet and smiled for the majority of the interview. It was like feeding time at the OK Corral with the ladies fighting trying to ask Robert the next question. I actually felt bad for Emily. She finally got to answer an entire question without being interrupted towards the end of the interview. I dunno, I just thought it was so awkward and strange. But I mean, he is Robert Pattinson and he has the ability to dazzle people, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Check out the videos below and tell me what you thought of the interview.

Can’t wait for the steamy love scenes!

HUGE NEWS!

Ladies!!!…. and Gentlemen(!?)

March 1st, 2010 @ 12:35am on NBC

Set your Tivos, DVRs, VHS Tape Recorders and other Recording Devices….

And prepare yourself for….

On….

Yes! Jimmy confirmed it this morning on the Today Show and I almost splattered my Lucky Charms all over the TV screen. I don’t know if this is old news and I’ve just been living under a rock, but I have seriously been waiting for this day. I always wondered when RPattz would grace the stages of Late Night and it has finally come! And what better timing? Jimmy’s show turns 1 year old on March 1st, perfect! Here’s to a night of sexy Edward Cullen and hopefully a Jimmy vs. RPattz Robert is Bothered Segment!

This one’s my favorite!

Neither of us are big NFL fans. We only tune in to the Super Bowl for the commercials really so we thought we’d put together a few (or 7) videos of some of our favorite Super Bowl spots of the past. What are some of your favs?

Does anyone else get fed up with CNN’s “video reports?” Sometimes when I’m catching up on the news of the day I get super angry when I click on an interesting news headline hoping to read a great story and I’m faced with yet another run of the mill news reporter giving the same old on screen news report. Even better, I’m forced to wait for his freakin’ report to buffer before I can even get the inside scoop. You know what I’m talking about. And so does this guy. For your enjoyment, here’s an entertaining viewpoint on just how boring and predictable our broadcast news has gotten.

FREE BIRD!!!!!

I watched Conan’s last Tonight Show. It was pretty awesome. From Steve Carell’s surprise appearance giving Conan an “exit interview” to Tom Hanks chanting “CoCo” to Neil Young’s performance to Will Ferrell rockin’ out to Free Bird with Conan playing electric guitar. That was the perfect way to end the show. There could’ve been more cowbell though:)

Conan we will miss you! But I know we’ll see you soon!
