I am obsessed with Kate Spade’s tights collection on Zappos. I want to buy them all, but can’t justify paying over $20 for a pair of tights. I’ll probably cave eventually though and get a pair. These are my favorites:

So it seems as though fashion is going back to the 70s, and I am obsessed with the cape coat trend. There are a ton of cute vintage ones on Ebay right now and new ones at TopShop. I’d style it with elbow length leather gloves and a fabulous outfit  like this:

Okay. I have to put it out there. It’s the new year so I’m being more honest – and blunt I suppose.

I HATE Vera Bradley. Like hate hate. There, I said it. I’ve never understood why people like her stuff. The moment I saw it I thought “diaper bag.” I do not get it. Since I never see them in SF, I had actually forgotten my hatred for them until I stepped in this store in Kentucky and saw this:

It was like kudzu, but instead green vines, it was pink and purple paisley covering everything in the store. Ahhhh! I’ll be having nightmares about quilted laptop cases and floral messenger bags tonight.

In my dream I’d be able to walk in those heels too.

And I’d look like this:

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and is gearing up for New Year’s Eve! I love New Year’s Eve because it’s an excuse to 1. Drink lots of champy and 2. Wear sparkly things. This year I have been especially obsessed with sequins and glitter. Urban Outfitters has some great body glitter right now that I’m thinking of using. Yes you heard me, body glitter. If used appropriately and not like a raver on ecstasy, it can be quite lovely. Note exhibits A and B below:

This weekend Randy and I went to Napa for our annual last hurrah trip before we go home for Christmas. We opened our stockings early and this is one of the “stuffers” I got. Slipper Socks! Mine are little sweater bunnies. And you know, I probably wouldn’t have ever bought these for myself, but now that I have them, they’re so cute and so comfy and I can’t stop using them as sock puppets. Quite entertaining. I highly recommend it. They’re from Urban Outfitters. The bunnies are sold out online, but you can still get the panda, teddy bear and frog! I like the frog’s googly eyes :)

Okay. 2 things.

1. This guy looks ridiculous.

2. I want these mittens. Specifically the cookie monster ones.
They’re at Urban Outfitters. Too bad they’re $38 though.

So next week is our office Christmas party. The theme is “Black, White and Glitter.” My theory on how this theme came about is this:

One of the party planners bought a cute sequin something and wondered “Where will I ever wear this? OMG I know! I’ll make the office party glitter-themed!!!”

And so it was.

So my interpretation of this is “wear sequins and/or rhinestones” or, if you’re a vampire, “come as you are and show some skin.”

So since I am not a vampire, I’ve been shopping around for sparkly things because sadly I don’t really own anything with sequins. I like them though, especially J Crew’s latest stuff. I’m in love with their sparkly stuff. I’m just not in love with their prices :( So off to Forever29 I go!

So since it’s Cyber Monday evening and I had a little down time at work, teehee, I put together some holiday party ensembles from ModCloth. Not only is it important to have a rockin’ holiday dress, but you can’t forget the fabulous coat that will complete the look! I have a severe weakness for outerwear. If I had money to waste, I’d own about 12 winter coats. And I live in San Francisco where the coldest it gets is about 40–maybe. My other weakness is cute shoes. Especially ones with fun details. They can always spice up a boring dress.

So without further ado, here are some “themes” I put together for your viewing (and shopping) pleasure.

I love Anthropologie’s new web video on their site called “Scenic Route.” It’s a map of a mini land where tiny plastic people live in places like “Boot Hill” and “Clutch Creek.” It’s like an Anthro-Addict’s version of Candyland. Sigh. A land of shoes and accessories.
