Cher says, “Don’t forget to turn back your clocks tonight!”
I hate when daylight savings time ends, but at least we get an extra hour in our weekend.

So like I said in my last post, I have done pretty much nothing to celebrate Halloween this year because work has been so busy. But I do still have a lot of ideas to share from my Halloween extravaganza last year so here goes. First off, our Halloween party playlist. And if you don’t want to download them all, definitely consider making a Grooveshark playlist. It’s awesome.
Bad Things – Jace Everett
I Put a Spell on You – Nina Simone
Beetlejuice theme song – Danny Elfman
Love Potion No. 9 – The Searchers
This is Halloween – Panic at the Disco
Ghostbusters (of course!)
Purple People Eater
Werewolves of London – Warren Zevon
Maneater (Hall and Oats and/or Nelly Furtado)
Monster Mash
Disturbia – Rihanna
Witchy Woman – The Eagles
Thriller – Michael Jackson
Scream – Silkk the Shocker
Full Moon – The Black Ghosts
Black Magic Woman – Santana
Red Right Hand – Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Zombie – The Cranberries
Sympathy for the Devil – Rolling Stones
The Devil Went Down to Georgia – Charlie Daniels Band
Devil Inside – INXS
Super Freak – Rick James
Psycho Killer – Talking Heads
Murder Ballad in G Minor – The Rosewood Thieves
Uprising – Muse
She Wolf – Shakira
Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing – Chris Isaac
And of course all the traditional spooky Halloween party music like Jaws theme!
Hope this helps some. Feel free to add to it if you have more!

Have any of you checked out Willow Smith’s new music video? It’s become quite the topic of conversation all over Facebook. If you haven’t seen it, check it out below. Sorry for the giant video, I can’t seem to shrink it?
I think my friend Michele summed it up best…
My thoughts on Willow Smith & her new song/video:
1. Her cool video doesn’t mean she is going to be a great artist. It means her rich parents hired a good music video producer. Calm down, people. She’s like 4 yrs old. (Shameless Plug from Karen: Michele owns her own video production company. Check her out at www.postscriptproductions.com)
2. The song itself makes my neck hurt just listening to it. But it is catchy.
3. Does a 4 year old really encounter that many “haters” that she needs to “shake them off”? Doubtful.
Well played Michele. What do you guys think?
Been on loop literally all day. They’re my new jams

And to think that I couldn’t love OK Go anymore, they make this new music video “White Knuckles” using tons of trained doggies and what looks to be Ikea furniture. Not only that, they did this video in one take – which means no directors yelling “Cut! Do it again.” ONE take. Smart doggies they’ve got there. Their video got 1 million hits on YouTube in a day. Read more about the making of it here.
Jack would be the doggies running crazily in the back on leash.

Oh you know. Had some dinner. Met Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussy Cat Dolls. Performed with Green Day.
Wait what?
No, I’m not kidding!!!
As much as I’m really not supposed to blog about this, I just had to because last night was amazing! I got to share a dressing room with Nicole Scherzinger, who I finally just realized is the most recent winner of Dancing With the Stars, and sang the national anthem at last night’s Jets vs. Ravens game, cooll! And I got to perform with Green Day at halftime. Check out the vid

There’s a new song out by Flo Rida called “Club Can’t Even Handle Me.” Every time it comes on the radio my husband and I laugh because we can’t even imagine being so hot that the club can’t handle us. I mean what are you doing that makes you so hard to handle in this club?
I picture this tornado of pelvic thrusts, bling and fist pumps.
“I’m just too hot! Too hot yall! Club can’t even handle me! I just, I just, gotta go outside in the parking lot and dance by myself I’m so hot! Ain’t nothin’ able to handle me!”
Yeah…I can’t relate. Can you?

Love this song. Appropriate for a Saturday evening out with the girls. I change “boyfriends” to “husbands” though
So lets go out late
Drink a lot
Stay up past eight and then dance
Dance all night
Leave our boyfriends behind.
Well it looks like you missed it Karen. The 2010 U.S. Air Guitar Championship was held in NYC last Thursday. Mere blocks away from where you live (no idea if that’s true). What a wonderful date night that could have been for you and Jeff. I can see it now: after a romantic dinner at TGIFridays, you head on down to Convention Air Guitar to watch rookie “Romeo DanceCheetah” fake play his heart out and seize the crown from former champion and air veteran “Dreamcatcher.” Fear not though! You can follow “Romeo DanceCheetah” as he represents the U.S. at the Air Guitar World Championships in Oulu, Finland this August.
You can’t make that shiz up people. Frankly I don’t think it’d make a great date night, but it would make for a hilarious evening of fun watching these guys perform live. I mean look how much they get into it:

And frankly anything involving names like “Romeo DanceCheetah,” “WindHammer” or “ThunderGland” sounds like a fun Thursday night to me. Yeah? Yeah? Anyone?
