So the Red Riding Hood soundtrack came out today and I was super excited to finally get to listen to the whole Fever Ray song “Wolf” that plays at the end of the trailer. I’d actually never heard of them/her? before until now. Evidently she only performs in the dark, hence the photo above, and her fashion choices give Lady GaGa a run for her money.
I’m intrigued. Listen to the soundtrack below- it’s cool and spooky.

I have the urge to go dancing tonight. I’m not. But I’m feeling nostalgic and miss those college weekends where frat parties were everywhere, blaring dirty hip-hop out the windows. Sigh, the good ole days. Lets reminisce with some Luda, DMX and a little Thong Song shall we?
So Lady Gaga came out with her new song today, “Born this Way.” People have been ripping it a new one for being a rip-off of Madonnas’s “Express Yourself.” Not only that, but they’ve said the album cover is a copy of Kylie Minogue’s and that the lyrics sound like Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful.”
I’ve listened to, looked at, and read it all and yes, I see some similarities, but no I don’t think they’re blatant rip-offs. As a person who works in a creative industry, there will always be overlaps and similarities. It happens. You can’t just block out everything you see and hear. It’s bound to affect you and your work a little. What do you guys think? Copy Cat? or Gaga Original?
And btw, as far as the song goes, I like the lyrics, I think they are very positive, but the song is a little disappointing frankly. You’ve done better Gaga. You’ve done better.
Listen to “Express Yourself” here.
Cover Art:
You could say they both are reminiscent of David’s Bowie’s Aladdin Sane.

I was on Aziz Ansari’s blog last night and saw Enrique Iglesias’s latest video “Tonight I’m F*cking You.” I remember hearing this song on the radio, but I wasn’t paying attention to the lyrics, and I’m preeeeeetty sure they weren’t dropping the F-bomb. Regardless, this video cracks me up after reading what Aziz wrote. It’s funny b/c it’s EXACTLY how the video goes down.
“This is how I imagine Enrique emailing his director the idea for this incredible video:
Ok, so the song is called ‘Tonight I’m Fucking You’ so I thought in the video I could just be fucking a lot. What I’m thinking is, the video starts and I’m in a nightclub… I see this really hot girl and right before I sing the chorus where I go ‘Tonight I’m fucking you’… BAM! I’m fucking that girl in the corner of the club… then later I’m playing poker… the song is still going… I see a hot girl and right as I sing ‘Tonight I’m fucking you…’ BAM! I’m fucking that girl against a wall… then I’m walking up the stairs with the second girl, to go have sex with her somewhere else and we run into the first girl… she looks upset… you think she’s mad at me… then right before the chorus hits again – BAM! – we cut to me fucking BOTH those girls AND like 7 other girls we haven’t seen yet. Thanks,
Enrique
P.S. Just had a good idea – let’s put Ludacris in a limo rapping something in the middle.”
