Love this song. Appropriate for a Saturday evening out with the girls. I change “boyfriends” to “husbands” though
So lets go out late
Drink a lot
Stay up past eight and then dance
Dance all night
Leave our boyfriends behind.

Well it looks like you missed it Karen. The 2010 U.S. Air Guitar Championship was held in NYC last Thursday. Mere blocks away from where you live (no idea if that’s true). What a wonderful date night that could have been for you and Jeff. I can see it now: after a romantic dinner at TGIFridays, you head on down to Convention Air Guitar to watch rookie “Romeo DanceCheetah” fake play his heart out and seize the crown from former champion and air veteran “Dreamcatcher.” Fear not though! You can follow “Romeo DanceCheetah” as he represents the U.S. at the Air Guitar World Championships in Oulu, Finland this August.
You can’t make that shiz up people. Frankly I don’t think it’d make a great date night, but it would make for a hilarious evening of fun watching these guys perform live. I mean look how much they get into it:

And frankly anything involving names like “Romeo DanceCheetah,” “WindHammer” or “ThunderGland” sounds like a fun Thursday night to me. Yeah? Yeah? Anyone?

I know she’s been around for a while now, but I just saw this clip of Janelle Monáe on Letterman and it’s kind of amazing. Her style is so cool and fresh and her voice is awesome. Her dance moves are pretty sweet too. Check it out if you haven’t seen it:

So for our first game on Saturday, we decided that each player would choose a theme song to be played when they go up to bat. Well immediately I started thinking of all the possibilities. This is my moment to have a theme song! The soundtrack that plays daily in my head is about to be of great use! Which track should I choose?? Would I want a classic one like “Chariots of Fire?” Or something kitschy like “Wild Thing?” Or something completely ridiculous and hardcore by DMX like “Dogs for Life?”
Well after looking through my entire playlist, here are the songs I came up with that I like:
“Lose Yourself” – Eminem
“Glory Days” – Bruce Springsteen
“Supermassive Black Hole” – Muse (a little nod to Twilight – hehe)
“Foxy Lady” – Jimmy Hendrix
“Maneater” - Nelly Furtado
“Hanging Tough” - NKOTB
“Shoop” – Salt n Peppa
“Material Girl” - Madonna
Now I just have to narrow it down to 1. Any suggestions?

It has come to my attention that I’m actually ahead of the learning curve on this trend and should share. A few months ago my coworker introduced me to Grooveshark. I figured I was probably one of the last people to discover this awesome online music site, but alas! I have discovered that there are many like me that have never heard of it. Let me educate you.
Grooveshark is sort of like Pandora, but better! Instead of entering a song or artist and getting songs that sort of sound like the one you actually want (like on Pandora) – Grooveshark lets you make your own playlist of any songs you want. Just enter an artist or song and it’ll come up with a huge list. Grab it and hit play. It’s amazing. Instead of buying ITunes now, I just go there to see what I like, then upload them to my playlist on Grooveshark. Don’t worry. It is completely legal and has been a lifesaver at work. The only weakness I’m finding is if you find a favorite song, you’ll play it over and over and over until you hate it. I did that a little too much with Lady GaGa. Sorry GaGa! We need a break. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Have you guys seens Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” video? She never ceases to surprise me. I’m curious as to why she decided to have such blatant product placement in the video. Oh hello there Wonder Bread.
