If you happen to see anything odd on our blog, like a huge mauve background or tiny pink elephants, we’re experimenting with our blog coding right now. Nothing to worry about. Don’t be alarmed. Things will all go back to normal soon-ish.

Happy second day of spring! Here’s a fun poll for all of our readers out there to enjoy. Ready? Let’s go!
On your first day of spring, did you:
A. Wear a hat/scarf/gloves
B. Walk to work in the snow
C. Have to turn the heat on in your house/apartment
D. All of the above.
E. None of the above.
If you answered “E,” then you’re no longer my friend. Kidding….maybe. Never the less, I’m very happy that spring has finally sprung, even if I have to wait maybe a few more weeks for it to find it’s way to New York
I have a datebook, an iPhone and an iPad, but I have noticed when it comes to really important things to remember, I resort to emailing myself instead of being a normal person and using a calendar. I even emailed myself to write this post because sadly I’ve been bereft of things to talk about, and desperate. I’ve heard of other people who call their home phone and leave themselves voicemails. I probably would if i had a home phone, but I don’t.
OK, I’m going to go email myself again to post something vaguely interesting tomorrow. I promise.

I could literally spend all day on the internets wasting time. Randy will vouch for me. I can never look run out of things to look at.
So I felt it was my duty to aid in other people’s procrastination. Here are some of my favorite sites that I could literally spend hours on and actually get a lot of my posting ideas from:
Pinterest – a virtual scrapbook of all things beautiful and interesting on the internet. I recently signed up and am addicted.
Fffound – a collection of designy things from really cool to WTF?
Hyperbole and a Half – HILARIOUS drawings and stories from this girl’s life.
My Vintage Vogue – Gorgeous vintage fashion photography separated by decades
Style Me Pretty – Wedding heaven.
Anthropologie, Modcloth and JCrew – Gorgeous clothes we all covet.
Asos and TopShop – Gorgeous Euro clothes we all covet.
The Daily What – Random funny news
Huffington Post – All news
Jezebel – Chick news
There you have it. Actually that is probably like 1/8 of my bookmarks, but those are my go to “waste time” sites. I hope these have been helpful and when you need to waste time, you’ll think of me
Now I’m off to Ebay to search vintage bags – see, another one.

So I bought these fake bangs by Jessica Simpson a while ago back when my hair was brown. I only wore them out once before I dyed my hair blonde. Now I’m back to brown and am debating on getting real bangs cut. I’ve never had them before except for the hideous poodle ones I got in 7th grade from an unfortunate hairbrush incident. I took a bunch of comparison photos. What do you think – to bang or not to bang?

Hi friends, the slacker sister’s back. I don’t really have an excuse for not blogging in oh, say 3 weeks, I guess I’m just not as good as my sister
Anywho, the weather has gotten quite chilly in the city since the turn of the New Year, and how have I welcomed 2011….oh with the flu
Icky. I haven’t had the flu since I was maybe 10 years old and holy cow has it knocked me off my feet. The best part about being sick though, (if there really is a good part?), is the yummy comfort foods that become immediate go-to’s! Lets rattle off a list of things that have become staples in my diet over the past few days:
1. Chicken Noodle Soup…and lots of it!
2. Orange Juice…gotta get that Vitamin C, God bless you Tropicana!
3. Frozen Yogurt Milkshakes…for the sore throat
4. Steamed Rice….weird, yes, but it’s one of the only things my tummy can handle, boo.
5. Saltine crackers and cheese…ooh I’m fancy, huh?!
Yes, it’s pretty awesome, not, ha. Oh what I would do for a steak right now. Sigh.
