So I had this craft paper that’s an old map of San Francisco. I thought about framing it, but that that wouldn’t be good enough. Instead I decided to decoupage it onto this cheap wooden table to spice it up. I’m not finished yet. I’m currently lacquering it down and am high on the fumes. It’s seriously overpowering the apartment and I’m seeing spots. Anyway, I also decided while I was on a roll I should paint the other little boring table I have and do something fun with it too. I have a pretty good decoupage idea for it and in my head it looks really cool, but we’ll see how it turns out. For now, I’m going to wait for the paint to dry and drink a glass of wine. Liquored up and lacquered down. That’s me:

I recently finished designing a wedding suite for a couple getting married in the wine country at an apple orchard. I’m really excited how it turned out. I hope to post some photos of it soon, but for now, here is the design. It consists of a letterpressed invitation and RSVP card that is hand-stamped in bright coral on each. We also decided to wrap it all in a kraft band that is hand-stamped with the couple’s monogram.
Please check out even more on our site at Jack’sMaster.com.

I had the pleasure of working with a couple here in San Francisco that are getting married in the fall. They met on the local bus on their way to work and wanted to somehow include a bus element in their Save the Date. I was really excited about this challenge and all the possibilities. We ended up deciding on a cute personalized bus map that includes stops along the way that tell the story of their relationship from when they met, to their first date, all the way “to the Chapel.”

So I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’ve been slacking on the blog a lot lately. I’ve been really busy (and still am) designing things for Jack’s Master and trying to really make a go of starting this business. I thought I’d share some more of what I’ve been working on for Mother’s Day since it’s right around the corner. The first card is based on the human truth that moms always seem to have a bottomless pit of things in their purse. It acts as everything from a post office to a vending machine to a trashcan. The next set of cards is for the dog parents. If “Mommy’s Boy or Girl” was to give you a card, what would it look like? Hopefully like one of these cards! Check them out. They’re all available on our Etsy site too.

I’ve noticed in the last several weeks that a lot of creative people found interesting ways to raise money for Japan. Some of the simplest posters are my favorites. They are just so smart and to the point. Below are a few of my favorites. And of course, you don’t need clever art to help. If you’d like to give a donation to help Japan, just visit here.

The tradition is if you don’t wear green on St. Patrick’s Day you get pinched. It can be by anyone, or anything. However, I think that tradition usually stops after elementary school, unless you’re inebriated.
I thought it would be cute to have little business-sized cards with matching lil envelopes to slip into people’s pockets or on their desks or wherever to give them a paper pinch if they’re not wearing green. Or even if they are, to wish them a Happy St. Patty’s Day!
