All in the Details

So I love this wrapping idea. But it requires tracing letters and then using an EXACTO knife to painstakingly cut out each letter in everyone’s name. What kind of person has time for this? And during the holidays no less?? But if you are this kind of nutjob person, here are the instructions. Please send us a photo of your finished product if you ever do in fact finish it.

And my other favorite wrapping idea is this menagerie of colorful yarn.

I just wanted to use the word menagerie. I even spelled it right on the first try. Anyway, again, lovely, but who has time for this? Let alone this many yarn color options? Oh, I know who does. The Yarn Bomber!

I discovered this designer in Vancouver actually in a paper shop. I actually just found out as I was doing this post that Little Otsu is based in San Francisco! Since I just officially started my new job and am being bombarded with all kinds of new work, I am in desperate need of a planner – a cute one too – to organize my bajillion jobs. I’m thinking of getting one of these:

Envelope liners are such a simple and easy way to spruce up a card. I love that little surprise you get when you open one.

Gussy up your makeup bag with one of these super cute lip balm containers. And for the naughtier ones out there, we even provided a little strip teaser gloss. Enjoy!

We’re toying with the idea of starting another weekly-ish post called “All in the Details.” It would consist of little things that you usually don’t think much about, but we’d highlight their potential and show you how they can add a little fun and spice to your style. Our first post is luggage tags. Clockwise: Flight001, Way Cool Women’s Gifts, Tepper Jackson, Fred Flare and Mindy Weiss.

I actually own the “Don’t make me chase  you” one. I don’t know how many times I’ve had to chase down someone trying to roll away my bag because they thought it was theirs. You’re not the only one with a red bag sir!
