I love the Food Network. Pretty much anything and everything to do with the Food Network. So it was SO cool when I tuned in to tonight’s new episode of Dinner Impossible to find out that it was being filmed on Carolina’s campus! For those of you not familiar with the show, it revolves around Chef Robert Irvine, a very large militant chef, who is thrown into “impossible” missions. He’s given the task to cook a large scale meal in ridiculous situations. In tonight’s episode, he has to feed 100 college students with food that he finds in dorm rooms. Ew. He can’t go to a grocery store and has to basically rely on the kindness of student’s pantries. Meaning he’s going to get a lot of ramen noodles, tostito chips, processed cheese products and beer.

Bon Appetite! Barf.

Ugh, don’t you hate it when your computer doesn’t do what you want it to do? Yea, that was me today. I wasn’t able to get online all day because of some problem with our wireless. But now, it’s finally fixed and I’m back with none other than another Willie video :) He’s still learning some new tricks and here he is in the beginning stages. We’re getting there!

Please excuse the dirty carpet, once again, and my extremely pale skin!!

Haha, nothing like a little puke and rally. That’s my boy!

Puppy Swimming

So, when I got home from enjoying the beautiful weather yesterday, it was a lot later than I had anticipated. But look what Willie learned while I was gone!

Sorry for the bad lighting and bad quality of the video. My favorite part is the sound his little wet paws make on the wet floor as he clomps around, haha!

I debated doing a sort of live-blogging situation with the Oscars last night, but I got so caught up in the whole moment that the idea quickly went out the window. Anywho, now that I’ve recovered from staying up late and watching the entire show, (these things never end on time), I’m here to give my rundown of the night.

The Red Carpet

I love, love, love watching the red carpet and drooling over the amazing dresses, fantastic jewelry and to die for shoes. One thing I don’t like about the red carpet……the annoying hosts, and last night was no exception. Two words: Kathy Ireland.

What was she on???? Did anyone else see her interviewing celebs on the red carpet? Even Jeff, (who may or may not have been forced to watch the Oscars), commented on how robotic and/or totally high she looked. So bizarre and some insanely uncomfortable! Aside from the crazy lady, I thought there were some huge fashion hits and flops on the red carpet this year. Here are my top 3 favs and top 3 hates.

The Fashion Do’s

I might be jumping on the Sandra Bullock bandwagon, but who cares. She looked beautiful and worked that red lipstick.

Gotta agree with my sister on this one. I love me some Rachel McAdams, and when she walked on the stage in this dress my mouth dropped.

The color might be a bit bland, but who cares? She’s worn this color before and she can totally rock it out. If I can look like her when I’m her age, I’d be fit as a fiddle.

The Fashion Don’t You Ever Do That Again’s

Greetings Earthlings. I Come in Peace. I mean, the dress is ok, I guess, but it’s more the fact that her hair is styled larger than her head and she’s so overly bronzed. Her eye makeup also doesn’t do wonders.

No, just no. J-Lo, I love you, but no. It’s baby pink first of all. But you also look like you got trapped in the packing material Barbie used to move out of the Malibu Barbie Beach House. And you could barely move in it. And what’s this? An imposter….

While this style is a little less Barbie, and more kid-sister Skipper, it still just sucks in my eyes.

What did you guys think? If you could walk the famous red carpet, what would you wear? I’m off to go for a run on this absolutely gorgeous, sunny, 58 degree day in NYC!! I’ll be back later to give more insight on last night. I know you’re waiting on the edge of your seat, haha.

Looks like it’s time to re-arrange Willie’s playpen or else we’re going to have an escaped convict on our hands…

Make Me Over!

Brown Eyed Girl….for now.

Do you ever wonder what you would look like with different color eyes? No? Ok, well I do. I have really, really dark brown eyes and as much as I love having a song named for my chocolate colored eyeballs, I’ve always wondered how different I would look with say blue eyes, or green eyes. So I got to work and started playing around with those online makeover programs where you submit a photo of yourself and play around with hairstyles, makeup and eye color. InStyle has a free program and so does iVillage, but they seem to have a few quirks to them and sometimes freeze up my computer, boo. The other day, however, I stumbled upon Taaz. They have the best online makeover program that I’ve ever used and a great eye color enhancement tool! So I set to work. I snapped a picture of myself when I got home from work and got to playing. Check out the results!

Look #1: Hazel Eyes

Look #2: Blue Eyes

Look #3: Green Eyes

Look  #4: I like to call this the Breaking Dawn Bella Cullen Eyes. Creepy.

Ah, who knows. Perhaps I’m destined to be a brown eyed girl. But it’s so fun to make yourself over online. Some of the crazy stuff I’ve come up with is hysterical. I’ll have to post those pics later!

Sucks to have a sister who knows Photoshop doesn’t it :)

K: OMG. That is terrifying! It looks like my eyeballs could massacre a small village.

I’ve never been a fan of the TV show The View. It was all the rage when it debuted in 1997, and in my opinion it has kind of taken a nose dive since then. But what do I know? I guess it’s because I don’t particularly like any of the hosts and find them just a tad annoying when they constantly yell over one another. BUT, today was a different kind of day. Ladies, there is only one thing in the entire world that would make it OK to let The View take up precious space on my DVR recoding list. Yes, you guessed it:

Duh.

Robert Pattinson and Emily de Ravin graced the set of The View today and offered a great interview. Or should I say Robert offered a great interview. Now don’t get me wrong, I could listen to that sexy minx talk all day, but poor Emily de Ravin, (looking gorgeous as always), simply sat alongside him like a puppet and smiled for the majority of the interview. It was like feeding time at the OK Corral with the ladies fighting trying to ask Robert the next question. I actually felt bad for Emily. She finally got to answer an entire question without being interrupted towards the end of the interview. I dunno, I just thought it was so awkward and strange. But I mean, he is Robert Pattinson and he has the ability to dazzle people, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Check out the videos below and tell me what you thought of the interview.

Can’t wait for the steamy love scenes!

Today is my sweet, sweet hubby’s  23rd birthday. And thank goodness for that! I was tired of being 24 years old and being married to a 22 year old, ew. Cougar status to the max, yo. Imagine being 21 years old and dating a 19 year old. Awkward. Anywho, Jeff and I have seen many a birthday come and go together, but this year was our first time to share our birthdays together being married. Awww. And this year, I’m proud to say, I’m now married to the hottest 12 year old on the block :)

Happy Birthday Jeff! Thank you for….

Always laughing with me, and not at me.

Always knowing how to make me smile.

Always sweeping me off my feet.

And always being willing to dance. I love you :)

Well, Mother Nature totally has my number. We were supposed to fly home this weekend for Jeff’s birthday and to visit friends at Elon and what do you know…our flight got cancelled because of the snow. Shocking. Oh well, looks like we’ll be snowed in for the weekend. I made my way out to Central Park early this morning before the snow picked up again and managed to get some pictures. Hope everyone’s staying dry and warm this weekend! To my Elon dance team girls, good luck this weekend, so sorry I cannot be there. And to my EK family, I’m sad I won’t be there for the new additions. Give them a squeeze from me and I’ll be sure to visit again soon :)
