It’s been slow coming and I’m still working out tweaks, but we decided to move 2sistersblog to JacksMasterblog.wordpress.com. All, er most, of the 2sistersblog content has been transferred over. What will change? Well for one, it will be a 1 sister blog with occasional second sister chiming in for guest posts. Photo Fav Fridays and Beefcake Mundays will start back up slowly. They might not be as regular right now as they used to be, but my goal is to eventually make them weekly again.

Overall the site will focus on design-driven cool ideas and “stuff” I discover online as well as anything that Jack’s Master is working on. So hopefully you’ll check us out at our new location and follow our new twitter as well.

Evidently its name is Penny and he/she is a malti-poo. I don’t know why, but these pictures crack me up. It’s absurd how much that dog looks like a stuffed animal. NOWAY would Jack sit that still in my arms and be carried around like that all day long.

Decoupage Delirium

So I had this craft paper that’s an old map of San Francisco. I thought about framing it, but that that wouldn’t be good enough. Instead I decided to decoupage it onto this cheap wooden table to spice it up. I’m not finished yet. I’m currently lacquering it down and am high on the fumes. It’s seriously overpowering the apartment and I’m seeing spots. Anyway, I also decided while I was on a roll I should paint the other little boring table I have and do something fun with it too. I have a pretty good decoupage idea for it and in my head it looks really cool, but we’ll see how it turns out. For now, I’m going to wait for the paint to dry and drink a glass of wine. Liquored up and lacquered down. That’s me:

Guess which one is little me. Hint: bows.

My dad recently emailed me this article to tell me my childhood preschool and kindergarten is closing. It was open for 50 years. It makes me a little sad. I loved my teachers Mrs. Gray, Mrs. Long and Mrs. Kennedy and have a lot of fond memories playing there. It’s funny to see in the 2 pictures shown how little the classroom has changed since I was there in ’86.

New Custom Wedding Suite by Jack’s Master

I recently finished designing a wedding suite for a couple getting married in the wine country at an apple orchard. I’m really excited how it turned out. I hope to post some photos of it soon, but for now, here is the design. It consists of a letterpressed invitation and RSVP card that is hand-stamped in bright coral on each. We also decided to wrap it all in a kraft band that is hand-stamped with the couple’s monogram.

This 4 year old has my dream childhood. Not only is she wearing that cute tutu to paint in, look at that ROOM she gets to do it in! I don’t know many parents that could tolerate a mess like this. However given that she’s now got an exhibit in a Chelsea art studio in Manhattan and selling paintings for 20 grand, I bet a bunch of parents are now reconsidering the mess.

2Sisters Hiatus

So maybe you’ve noticed that we both have been slacking on the blog. We both have gotten pretty busy lately and decided it might be best to take a temporary break from the blog. That doesn’t mean there won’t be the occasional post on here. Just probably not as many as there have been in the past though.

I’ve been working on setting up my new Jack’s Master site as well as a Jack’s Master Blog. We plan to actually move this blog to a new Jack’s Master URL sometime int he future. Karen will guest post sometimes, but I’ll be the main blogger. Stay tuned for 2Sister/ Jack’s Master blog updates!
