I love Rachelle Lefevre! She’s such a great actress and person to boot! She’s a very strong activist for rescuing animals and she’s a great spokesperson for the ASPCA. She’s pictured here, with her dog Honey, who recently passed away

But to honor Honey’s memory, Rachelle and her boyfriend set back out and adopted 2 new little babies who were at a high-kill shelter and at risk for being put down soon: a cocker spaniel named Momma Bear and a miniature poodle named Jack Sprat.
So adorable!

on January 27, 2010 at 9:31 pm I didnt know you were so into animal rescues. I hate it when pound animals get put to sleep because people want to buy designer dogs. Where did you guys rescue your new dog from?

on January 27, 2010 at 9:54 pm Sarcasm? If you’re not being sarcastic, sorry for my previous unedited comment, haha. We tried to adopt. I can’t tell you how many times I visited and emailed various shelters. But the shelters up here are overrun with large dogs and I didn’t have it in my heart to bring a big dog to live in a 600 square foot apartment. Maybe when our living circumstances change, we can adopt. But for now, we’re just excited to bring our little guy home
