A Southern Breakfast at Tiffanys

So last week we featured Karen’s wedding for Wedding Wednesday. In keeping with Karen’s wedding festivities, I thought I’d share the awesome bridal shower that the maid and matron (me) of honor and our aunt threw her. The theme was “A Southern Breakfast at Tiffanys.” Karen loves Audrey Hepburn stuff, so I thought it would only be girlie and appropriate! We made it more of a brunch and served pastries, eggs, bacon, coffee, juice and of course MIMOSAS!

In keeping with the Tiffanys theme, we had fake powder cigarettes with cigarette holders. Those were a hit! We served mints in Tiffany boxes. Photos of Audrey Hepburn were scattered around along with quotes from the movie. For decorations we made Martha Stewart poof balls and hung “Here comes the bride” banners as well as had streamers and balloons in various pastel colors. The centerpieces were aqua mason jars with white flowers placed in them.

I wish I’d gotten more (and better) pics of the shower, but I was too busy playing bartender :) Here’s what I got though:

    I don’t even remember how I came across this blog and started following the fun you share across the continent, but when I saw today’s post:

    a.) I loved the Tiffany’s theme for the shower and
    b.) I realized I know Karen

    Elon. Sigma Kappa. Pi Chi. I didn’t put it all together on last week’s post because the pictures of the bride weren’t as close-up. Looking back, however, I realize I’ve looked at pictures from the wedding on facebook that came up on my feed from mutual friends that attended. What a small world right? Well congratulations Karen! So fun to find you on here and keep up with your life a bit!
