So in keeping with the matrimonial theme today, I thought I’d share a few pics from our first year anniversary trip to Vancouver we took a few weeks ago. We’d never been before and always wanted to visit so we took a long weekend and flew up there to celebrate 365 days of marriage. Of course Jack came too. He came with us on our honeymoon, why wouldn’t he celebrate 1 year with us too? Vancouver is an amazing city. Not as Canadian as I had hoped, only a few “eh’s” were heard and an “aboot,” but still cool. We walked all over the city since it’s not very big and had our official anniversary dinner at Rodney’s in Yaletown one night. This place is significant b/c 1. It is the best seafood place in Vancouver and 2. RPattz ate there! No, not when we were there, but when they were filming New Moon. If only we’d gone just a couple months earlier! Blasted anniversary date! I’m sure that’s exactly what my husband would’ve wanted to do for our anniversary, stalk Twilight characters. Yeah yeah. Here are some pics:
PS: I had always wondered why paper was chosen as the first anniversary gift, now i know. You’re poor as crap after the wedding and are still paying it off a year later. The only thing you can afford is paper. So my gift to the hubby was a vintage Vancouver postcard – I bought at this awesome paper shop called The Regional Assembly of Text – with a sweet message on the back. I’m sure there are more creative paper gifts to give, but I thought a postcard was appropriate given the circumstances. His gift to me, the trip
I definitely have more to post about Vancouver, but i’ll save that for another post. To be continued!
K: Jack’s face in that picture literally screams “WTF are you doing. Put me down.” He has a very Stewey-like look from “Family Guy.” And sigh, RPattz. I still lament not seeing him in NYC. But I figured there were too many set stalking crazies around him as it was, and I didn’t want to add to the mosh pit. I’m a married girl after all, I have to keep my priorities in line. But if, say for instance, he were to ever approach me and confess his undying love to me, I’d make like a spidermonkey, latch onto his back and fly to the nearest Chapel of Love. Well, me and probably every other 12 year old on the planet.
